"I'm thinking of making some soap Mom" was an idea of mine back in March of this year. It was something I loved the idea of doing but really didn't know where to start. So after hours of watching Youtube videos & reading soaping books I decided to give it a go & haven't looked back.
The first thing I wanted to do was create a soap that my 11 year old son could use, He's suffered with Eczema ever since he was 6 weeks old & although we have it under control now, it would be lovely if he could use the soaps I make without any effect to his skin.
After researching I found that Goats milk was the answer! Such a creamy & moisturising soap base that's gentle on the skin so ideal for my Son. Goat milk contains many vitamins, but is particularly high in Vitamin A, which is necessary to repair damaged skin tissue, and maintain healthy skin.
So I decided to give it a try, what did I have to loose? Next step was to decide on suppliers & start to stock up on everything I needed. Looking back I didn't quite realise how this would take over the entire house lol We had boxes everywhere, arriving everyday to the point of having to move my house around to accommodate all these soaping supplies!
